While presenting the importance of digital technology, especially the '5G' technology that affects the Thai agricultural sector.
นายพุทธิพงษ์ ปุณณกันต์, Minister of Digital Economy and Society (DES), is the president at the opening ceremony of the “Chief of Digital Agro Business 2nd Generation" course which organized by Digital Economy Promotion Agency (depa) after receiving good feedback from the past event.
This course aims to enhance cognitive skills while fostering understanding of the use of digital technology in agriculture. It also opens perspectives on digital economy along with modern agriculture to 59 senior executives from public and private sectors, for example, ม.ร.ว.จัตุมงคล โสณกุล Former Minister of Labor, พันเอก ดร.นที ศุกลรัตน์ Vice Chairman of the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC), ดร.สมศักดิ์ จังตระกุล Governor of Khon Kaen Province, ดร.วัฒนา พุฒิชาติ Governor of Sisaket Province, นายสวาท ธีระรัตนนุกูลชัย Chairman of the Udon Thani Chamber of Commerce, นายระพีภัทร์ จันทรศรีวงศ์ Secretary General of Office of Agricultural Economics, Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, นางสาวศลิษา หาญพานิช Assistant to the President Siam Commercial Bank Public Company Limited etc.
After that, Minister of Digital give a special lecture to the participants. Revealing that Ministry of Digital Recognizing the importance of 5G technology affecting the economic and social sectors of the country continuously, 5G technology has an important role in enhancing the performance of digital technology such as AI, IoT and Big Data. It will be utilized in medical, education, industry, transportation, tourism and agricultural that will raise Thai agriculture to become a smart agriculture (Smart Farm), but this must be applied to suit the region and area.
ดร.ณัฐพล นิมมานพัชรินทร์, Director of Digital Economy Promotion Agency, said that in the past, depa has promoted and encouraged farmers and community enterprises in every region across the country to choose and apply digital technology that suits their own context through technology from a Digital Provider that registered with depa. In order to create business matching between users and providers. which farmers and communities will be able to access various platforms quickly and easily gain confidence in obtaining standardized digital technology. And also fosters learning, examining and analyzing the proper use of digital technology before using them, for example, Smart RSPO Palm Oil Plantation and Logistic Management
